It’s a trying time for all of us, but especially for gigging musicians. Earlier this month, Bill Frisell and his Trio performed in the Kensington neighborhood in Brooklyn. Here’s a clip of them performing “What The World Needs Now.”

Here’s a new video from Martin Miller and Mark Lettieri, and this one is more chill than others we’ve shared in the past. In this clip, the group takes on Jeff Beck’s version of “Cause We’ve Ended as Lovers,” including a sweet solo by Benni Jud.

Dirty Loops shared a new video with this as the caption: “Do you have any gigs? Neither do we…” But that’s not stopping the band from having some fun. Here are Henrik Linder and Aron Mellergård throwing down on “Chicken Lover.”

Dubbed as a “CLASSIC ROCK Garage Jam”, DRUMMERWORLD just reshared this epic video (from 2015) of Jojo Mayer, Jonathan Levy, and Brian J performing “Steppin’ Heavy.” Power trio!

It has been a while since we’ve heard from bassist Joshua Cohen. But he emailed us this week with a new video (and more.) Check out his impressive solo bass arrangement for Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love” (and the transcription).

I’ve been enjoying Dave Sanborn’s “Sanborn Sessions” series since day one, but episode #6 is my favorite so far. In this clip, guest Bob James joins the group for this incredible session. Ben Williams’ playing on this one is sublime.

Leland Sklar has filled this time of social distancing with some incredible videos. This one starts with Leland playing along to a live clip of Toto’s “Rosanna”, which features a great jam section. After the track, he talks about the performance and more.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen a video from Snarky Puppy, but they recently released this remixed and remastered version of “Flood” from “Tell Your Friends”. The tune was written by Michael League, who handles both bass and keybass on the track.

While we first learned of Leonid Vorobyev and his band, Leonid & Friends, by their incredible Chicago covers, they’ve done a handful of others. Now they’re taking on The Brecker Brothers’ 1979 hit, “East River.”

While reviewing their “Tiny Desk” archives, NPR found some that hadn’t been shared on their Youtube channel, like this one. Recorded in July 2010, here’s an excellent clip of Bela Fleck, Edgar Meyer, and Zakir Hussain performing “Bubbles” and “Bahar”.

I’m always stoked to see a new video from the Zildjian LIVE! series, and this one is amazing. In this clip, drummer JD Beck and keyboardist DOMi join Ghost-Note for a live performance. MonoNeon grooves on this one!

No Treble columnist Ryan Madora is old-school cool. And her band The Interludes is the perfect showcase for her skills. In this clip, Ryan plays through the second track from the band’s debut album. Dig those groovy lines (and her solo) on “D’funked.”
