Drummer Anika Nilles and her band, Nevell, visited Little Big Beat Studios last year to record a live session. The small audience witnessed some stunning musicianship as the band recorded six tunes.

Nate Smith performed at the Montreal International Jazz Festival on July 2nd. In this clip, Smith is joined by Lionel Loueke and Michael League on “Skip Step.” What a lineup, and what a jam!

I am really looking forward to House of Waters’ new album, “On Becoming.” This morning, the trio of Max ZT, Moto Fukushima, and Antonio Sanchez released a video for one of the tracks. “705” is “dedicated to the renowned 55 Bar in NYC.”

Memphis Drum Shop dropped episode #24 of their “Groovin’ In Memphis” series, and this one includes the one and only MonoNeon jamming with drummer Devin Way.
