I’m really enjoying the music (and videos) of Meshell Ndegeocello’s new album, “The Omnichord Real Book.” Meshell just released the video for the album’s opening track, “Georgia Ave.” Dig it.

For this new video, Charles Berthoud said, “This is what 25 YEARS of bass and piano practice looks like. Fretless bass + piano is such a nice combination.” Enjoy his song, “No Longer.”

Guest guitarist Lari Basilio once again joined the Martin Miller Session Band, and they took on the Seal classic, “Kiss From a Rose.” Ben Jud nails the vocals while also handling the bass.

I am really looking forward to House of Waters’ new album, “On Becoming.” This morning, the trio of Max ZT, Moto Fukushima, and Antonio Sanchez released a video for one of the tracks. “705” is “dedicated to the renowned 55 Bar in NYC.”

Memphis Drum Shop dropped episode #24 of their “Groovin’ In Memphis” series, and this one includes the one and only MonoNeon jamming with drummer Devin Way.

Remco Hendriks is back with another video, and this time, he shared the bigger story behind it (and his other videos). Remco calls this “One Take Bluesy Funk Rock Bass Jam.” Dig it!

Last month I discovered the multi-instrumentalist known as KNULP. Here’s her latest video, where she handles the guitars, bass, drums, and vocals on her cover of The Beatles’ “In My Life.”

Rick Suchow is such a good dude. For years, he’s shared some fantastic videos we otherwise might never have seen. He just dropped another unreleased clip from Weather Report’s 1978 Astor Theater performance, with the band playing “Black Market.”

Clive H Jones took Linkin Park’s “Heavy” and made it into a solo bass arrangement. He’s using one of the most interesting basses too: the Ibanez Ashula.

The folks at the Jaco Pastorius Archive sent us this digitally remastered clip of Jaco Pastorius and his Word of Mouth Big Band performing at the North Sea Jazz Festival on July 10, 1983. It sounds incredible.
