Roger Waters Announces New Web Site and The Wall 2010 Tour

Roger WatersLegendary Pink Floyd bassist Roger Waters has just launched his new web site and announced a 2010 tour schedule for live performances of The Wall. Beginning in September and ending in December, the 35-stop trek will stretch all across the U.S. and Canada, finishing up in Anaheim, California.

Roger’s new site includes an explanation as to why he is doing the Wall again now:

“This new production of The Wall is an attempt to draw some comparisons, to illuminate our current predicament, and is dedicated to all the innocent lost in the intervening years,” he writes.

There is also a section called “Fallen Loved Ones“, where he asks for submissions of pictures of people taken by war, soldiers and civilians alike. The pictures will be used during The Wall, as an act of remembrance.

“I make this request to you in light of my belief that many of these tragic losses of life are avoidable,” he states. “I feel empathy with the families of all the victims.”
