Electric Bass Method CompleteBassist and educator David Overthrow has released Electric Bass Method Complete, a comprehensive method book published by Alfred Music Publishing in conjunction with the National Guitar Workshop.

The method offers basic to advanced techniques, starting with the basics of the instrument, reading music and building bass lines to intermediate concepts such as using scales, slap and pop techniques, string muting, walking bass lines, modes and other techniques. Advanced concepts include rhythm changes, tritone substitution, odd time signatures, playing chords and advanced bass lines across many genres.

A DVD and MP3 CD accompanies the book, providing examples covered in the 272 page book.

Overthrow has been a bass performer and instructor for over 20 years. He studied at Berklee College of Music and later earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Western Connecticut State University.
