Billy Gould Confirms Faith No More’s 2027 Reunion Tour: “We’re Gonna Play”

On June 16th, Faith No More posted a teaser that they may be reuniting for a tour in 2027. Now, bassist Billy Gould has confirmed it in a new interview with Jadranka Jankovic Nesic.
“Yeah, we’re gonna do it. We’re gonna play,” he said, adding that part of the reason for the reunion is being able to play the music while they still can.
“Our music is very physical, and a big concern is, like, pretty soon we’re not gonna be able to do this the way we wrote it,” Gould explained. “We wrote it as 20-year-olds and it and it’s always been very physical. It has to be that way. I can’t play the song if I’m not like that, honestly. With my bass parts, I just can’t do it. But I think… I mean, we all kind of decided, like, we think we can do it. I think that we can do it for a few more years, and we can do it the right way, so we’re gonna give it a go.”
No other information has been released. It will mark the group’s first shows since 2016. A reunion tour had been slated for 2021 and 2022, but singer Mike Patton withdrew, citing mental health reasons.
