Squier Adds New Precision Bass Models to Vintage Modified Series

Rounding out the summer’s new models for Squiers Vintage Modified Series are a trio of P-basses: The Vintage Modified Precision Bass V, Precision Bass Fretless, and Precision Bass PJ. Similar to the rest of the series, the new basses are designed to add new twists to familiar designs.

Squier Vintage Modified Precision Bass V

The Vintage Modified Precision Bass V is a 5-string bass fitted with a Fender-designed split single-coil pickup. It’s maple neck has a “modern C” profile wile the 9.5″-radius maple fingerboard holds 20 medium jumbo frets. Other features include a tortoiseshell pickguard, knurled flat-top control knobs, and a vintage-style 5-string bridge. It comes in Candy Apple Red, Olympic White, and Three-color Sunburst finishes with an MSRP of $499.

The Vintage Modified Precision Fretless is Squier’s first ever fretless P-bass. The model combines a split single-coil Precision Bass pickup with a 9.5″-radius fretless ebonol fingerboard. White inlaid fret lines act as markers to get your way around. It’s available with a MSRP of $499.
