Metal Group Periphery Releases Two Separate Albums Sharing One Concept

Periphery: Juggernaut:Alpha & Juggernaut:OmegaProgressive-metal outfit Periphery had too much metal for one album, so instead of releasing one, they’ve put out two — Juggernaut: Alpha and Juggernaut:Omega.

The records are really meant to be listened to as a whole concept piece, with Alpha providing backstory and Omega focusing on the main character’s journey, according to drummer Matt Halpern, who noted that the dense, detailed nature of the music prompted the band to split the piece into separate albums.

The group, with Adam “Nolly” Getgood on bass, is getting some positive press for the split double album. Think you’re up for some progressive metal? Here’s a taste of part two of the story, via “Graveless” from Juggernaut: Omega:

I LOVE this album. The concept behind the record is really deep(pun intended) and nollys bass work is amazing yet again. 100/10
