Kala Celebrates 15 Years of the U-Bass With 15th Anniversary Model
2024 marks the 15th anniversary of the Kala U-Bass and the company is celebrating with a special model. The Solid Hawaiian Koa Top 15th Anniversary Edition U-Bass is crafted with a hand-selected piece of Koa from Kala’s private stock.
Its mahogany neck is also fitted with an ebony fingerboard that matches its ebony bridge. Maple binding Paua Abalone shell adds a lighter outline to the bass’s body while Kala adorns the headstock with a special Koa branch and leaf inlay of Abalone with 15 white pearl flowers – one for each year of the U-Bass.
The bass comes with a piezo pickup and a Fishman EQ. Finally, Kala uses a Graph Tech nut and saddle and custom Hipshot Ultralite tuners to bring it all together.
The Kala Solid Hawaiian Koa Top 15th Anniversary Edition U-Bass will be available soon with a street price of $999.
