Hot Tuna Announces Acoustic Summer Tour
Acoustic Hot Tuna is setting out on another tour across the U.S. this summer, stretching from July to October. The masterful duo of Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady have been playing together for seven decades, and the bond has only deepened.
“Playing thrills me now more than ever,” says Casady.
The group will begin on July 11th in Columbus, Ohio and cover the Northeast through before jumping to the Pacific Northwest in September. They’ll then snake down the West Coast and wind up at the Rialto Theatre in Tucson, Arizona on October 5th.
Casady often uses his Ribbecke Guitars “Diana” Bass for the acoustic version of their band. The instrument combines inspiration, art, and technology, producing a huge, rich tone. Hear it in this 2019 performance from Fur Peace Ranch:
