“These new Solar Type E Basses represent a bold statement engineered to satisfy the most discerning metal bass player,” Solar writes. “No longer do metal bassists have to suffer a lack of extreme modern shapes while guitarists enjoy a multitude of options. The Solar Type E Basses deliver what players have been craving for years.”

The Type E is launching with two variations: a four-string in a Canibalismo finish and a five-string in a Black Open Pore finish. Each model features a sungkai body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard with a 12th fret inlay. They are fitted with a pair of Solar high output ceramic humbuckers controlled with a Volume/Volume/Tone knob layout.
