Slayer Returns for Massive 30,000-Person Concert: “It’s Going to Be Sick!”

Slayer finished up their Final World Tour in 2019, but it didn’t mark their final shows. After playing a handful of performances last year, the band has now announced an enormous show in Hershey, Pennsylvania, on September 20th at the 30,000-capacity Hersheypark Stadium.
Bassist/vocalist Tom Araya announced the show with a statement.
“Slayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeerrrrrr!!!!!!” He exclaimed. “One night only, stacked line up, it’s going to be f*cking sick!!!! Hersheypark – be there…..if not, you’re either dead, in jail or a sissy!!!!!”
Guitarist Kerry King added that playing concerts last year was overwhelmingly positive for them. “The fans reacted to us like I’d expect them to react to the biggest band on the planet,” he said. “It was amazing. So for the Hershey concert, we’ll play a Slayer show, we’ll have all of our big fire effects, and just burn everything like we used to.”
Araya and company will also be joined by a stacked support lineup: Knocked Loose, Suicidal Tendencies, Power Trip, Cavalera, and Exodus. All in, the day will include bassists Araya, Kevin Otten, Tye Trujillo, Chris Whetzel, Igor Amadeus Cavalera, and Jack Gibson. Cavalera will be performing the Sepultura album Chaos A.D. in full, while Exodus will also perform their debut album, Bonded By Blood.
Tickets for the show will go on sale April 11th. For more info, check Slayer’s website.
