New EMG E-Series Bass Pickups Deliver Powerful Ceramic Tone in Slim Soapbar Design

EMG E-Series Bass Pickups

EMG has added a new style of bass pickups to their offerings with the E-series. The lineup includes pickups for four, five, or six-string basses that all feature a “commonly used” slim soapbar cap design.

“Unlike any other EMG design, the E-Series feature wide aperture coils with ceramic magnets, delivering powerful low end while retaining the articulation modern bass player requires,” the company writes. “The E Series pickups unlock a multitude of bass models for simple, drop-in EMG upgrades.”

EMG writes that each pickup is hum-free and that they ship with a solderless wiring kit for easy installation. They also share that the pickups are designed for versatility and are suited to a wide range of genres and styles.

Hear them in action as bassist and gear guru Dan Veall demonstrates the E4W pickups in this bass playthrough and product overview video.
