Sandberg Introduces the Yolanda Charles Signature Bass, Built for Groove and Clarity

Sandberg was on hand at Guitar Summit 2025 to show off some new instruments, including the latest addition to its Signature series. The Custom Yolanda Charles is described as the return of one of their beloved classic body shapes “reimagined for a modern legend.”

“Yolanda Charles is one of the UK’s most respected bassists, with a career that reads like a vibrant, genre-spanning bouquet,” Sandberg writes. “Known for her unmatched groove, musicality, and command of the stage, Yolanda has left her mark on some of the biggest names in music. She has served as bassist and musical director for Robbie Williams, toured and recorded with Hans Zimmer, and shared the stage with icons including B.B. King, Mick Jagger, Paul Weller, Queen, Eric Clapton, and many more.”

Sandberg builds the bass with a European ash body finished in a Brown Burst Matte. The five-piece neck is constructed from Canadian hard rock maple and mahogany while its rosewood fretboard is fitted with oval inlays and glow-in-the-dark side dots. For electronics, they include a pair of Delano VT pickups fed into a Sandberg 3-band EQ.

You can hear the bass in action in this clip of Charles teaching how to play with feel.

The Sandberg Custom Yolanda Charles Signature bass is available for order at $2,444.
