The Omnific Push Their Dual-Bass Formula Further in the Visually Bold and Rhythm-Heavy “Nodus Tollens” Video

The Omnific just dropped the new video for “Nodus Tollens” and it is another reminder of why this trio gets so much love around here. A band with two bass players is already our kind of thing and these guys make it look effortless.

Matt Fack and Toby Peterson Stuart are both on their Dingwall five string instruments and the way they lock in is inspiring. They throw lines back and forth constantly bouncing rhythms and melodies.  Their tone is also something unique, lots of high end clarity and very aggressive. Jerome Lematua holds it all down with a solid and musical pulse and he hits every accent.

The video gives you plenty of closeups and clean views of the fretwork so you can really follow what they are doing. It is a cool look at how two bass voices can shape a whole song.
