Keeping It Cool: Jack Gardiner’s “Fan Boy” Gets the Low-End Breeze from Henrik Linder

Jack Gardiner’s “Fan Boy” is one of those tracks that should feel like it is about to overheat at any moment. The chops are flying, the rhythms are tight, and the energy is cranked but somehow it never boils over. That is where Henrik Linder comes in.

Linder keeps things cool on a 6 string Mattisson bass, delivering a low end performance that feels calm even when the music gets hot. His lines are locked in with Aron Mellergård and perfectly balanced against Jack Gardiner’s fiery guitar work.

Tone wise, Linder runs through an EBS rig, and it shows. The sound is clear, punchy, and controlled.  While the guitar heats things up, the bass keeps the room cool.
