Dumpstaphunk 2026

Dumpstaphunk is taking their bass-driven New Orleans funk around the country this summer with the “Put It In Tha Dumpsta” tour. The run features several festival slots from Florida to California connected by headlining and support slots.

It kicks off February 28th at Suwannee Amp Jams in Live Oak, Florida. They’ll be in their hometown for the New Orleans Jazz Fest in early May before heading to Virginia, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, ad California. One highlight includes a special show in Cleveland Heights, Ohio on June 20th in which they’ll perform the music of Sly & The Family Stone.

Dumpstaphunk is anchored by bassist and vocalist Tony Hall, who co-founded the band with Ivan Neville in 2003. The band featured a double bass attack with Nick Daniels III until his passing, leading to a new lineup.

“With the 2024 passing of elder statesmen, local legend bassist/vocalistand co-founder of the band Nick Daniels III, the group continues its latest genesiswith next generation additions including Deven Trusclair (drums), Alex Wasily (trombone), Ashlin Parker(trumpet), John Michael Bradford (trumpet), Ari Teitel (guitar)and Viveca Hawkins (vocals),” their website states.

Check out the current lineup with this performance of “Make It After All” from Tipitina’s in 2025. Hall leads the band on vocals while pushing the groove forward with his signature slap style.
