Glenn Hughes Returns to Laney
Glenn Hughes has returned endorsing Laney amps, after originally using them with his band Trapeze in the early 70’s. Hughes will be using the Laney Nexus Tube heads with the company’s NX810 cabinets on his upcoming solo tour as well as with his new supergroup, Black Country Communion.
“The crazy thing is, I’ve been looking around for the right bass equipment for [10 years] and all along, my dear old friends at Laney have been developing the perfect GH sonic amplification experience,” Glenn said. “This rig is amazing, exhilarating… I’ve gone back home, to the Black Country and Laney.”
Hughes has had a prolific career in rock through his work with Trapeze, Deep Purple, and collaborations with Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath. His newest group, Black Country Communion, just released their debut album, and are planning for a 2011 tour to support it.
