Bassist Ana Pshokina Leads a Hard-Grooving Jazz Fusion Quintet in Lisbon

Ana Pshokina leads a stellar five piece through a tight jazz fusion set in this latest IN CANTO Concerts session. Performing on her custom painted Sandberg 5 string and running through a Markbass amp, Pshokina brings a clear, articulate tone that cuts through the mix while still locking in the groove.

The band is firing on all cylinders throughout, with each player given space to stretch while staying connected to the core pulse. One of the standout moments comes from the saxophonist, who switches to an electric setup and adds effects, creating a more modern, textured layer that pushes the group into fresh sonic territory.  Pshokina keeps everything grounded, balancing melodic phrasing with a strong rhythmic presence.

This is a short session, try and fit it all in but if you only got time for one song, start with the first (love the sax solo).
