The Rolling Stones Announce “Foreign Tongues,” Featuring Darryl Jones & Paul McCartney

rolling-stones-foreign-tongues-coverThe Rolling Stones are still going strong. They’ve just announced a new studio album called Foreign Tongues, arriving on July 10th via Capitol Records. It will mark their 25th studio album.

The group recorded at Metropolis Studios in West London with producer Andrew Watt, who also helmed 2023’s Hackney Diamonds.

“The ‘Foreign Tongues’ album has a continuity from ‘Hackney Diamonds’ and it was great to be working in London again, and to have that London vibe around us,” said guitarist Keith Richards. “It was a month of concentrated punch. To me, it’s all about the enjoyment of it. I’m blessed to be able to do this and long may it last.”

Core members Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood are joined by longtime collaborators Matt Clifford, Steve Jordan, and bassist Darryl Jones, who has been on board since 1993. Foreign Tongues will also feature a track with late drummer Charlie Watts and special guests Steve Winwood, Robert Smith, Chad Smith, and Paul McCartney.

“I think Paul (McCartney) really wanted to jump in there,” Jagger said at a press event. “There was no intimidation. He wanted to play with the band.”

Foreign Tongues will be out on July 10th on CD, vinyl and as a digital download (Apple Music, and Amazon Music).
