IK Multimedia Unveils the TONEX Board All-in-One Modeling Platform
IK Multimedia has launched the TONEX Board, which it calls the most advanced hardware platform and the centerpiece of the TONEX ecosystem. The all-in-one unit combines AI Machine modeling technology and Amplitube effects to offer complete tonal emulation.
“TONEX Board takes the core technology behind TONEX further with a dual-signal-chain architecture capable of running up to four Tone Models simultaneously, combined with 76 studio-grade effects across nine categories,” the company writes. “The effects collection includes 51 processors derived from AmpliTube, 15 from TONEX, 10 all-new effects, and more to come. Up to 12 Tone Model and effect slots can be freely positioned and routed across flexible signal paths to create dual-amp stereo rigs, wet/dry setups, two-instrument configurations, sophisticated parallel chains, and more.”
The included software features over 230 ready-to-play presets for guitar and bass with 50+ bass presets. A fivei-inch color touchscreen lets you easily navigate and visualize your signal chain, making controlling and editing presets a quick process. Preset, Scene, and Stomp modes aid in live performance situations to quickly recall settings or controlling individual effects.
The TONEX Board’s connectivity accommodates a stereo input and features stereo outpus, an effects loop, a headphone output, full MIDI implementation, two expression pedal inputs, and a USB-C port for updates and preset transfers.
