Geddy Lee and Keanu Reeves Lead This Week’s Top 10
Geddy Lee was once again the star on No Treble this week, as he snagged two of the top three most-read stories. Both posts featured clips from the new Neil Peart documentary, Neil Peart: No One’s Disciple. First up he tore through “New World Man” alongside Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson and The Police drummer. At number three is a clip of “Tom Sawyer” and “2112” with Tool’s Danny Carey. Needless to say, you should watch both right away.
In between the Lee features is our exclusive interview with Hollywood star and rock bassist Keanu Reeves. No Treble’s Jody Miller caught him on tour with Dogstar in New Buffalo, Michigan, where Reeves gave a candid and open interview about his life on the bass. It’s rare to see him so animated during interviews, proving how much he loves the instrument and its heroes.
Our Bass of the Week is a magnificent Stonefly Bass built by Stuart Spector, now of Esopus Guitars. The beauty was fully carved by the legendary luthier with a reclaimed Redwood top that dates back 800 years. Click through to get all the specs.
Other fan favorites include highlights from the Guitar Summit like the EBS Session 110, the Marleaux Artio bass, and more. And of course, there are more bass-centric videos to get you inspired to pick up your axe.
