Tony Levin is one of the greatest bassists of our time, and he’s also a wonderful photographer. He just released a new photo collection called The Book of BEAT, which compiles the best of his thousands of photos from the BEAT tour of 2024 and 2025. The 156-page book features 188 photos of the band and audiences, both from onstage and behind the scenes.

The tour featured Levin alongside Adrian Belew, Steve Vai, and Danny Carey as they performed music from King Crimson’s 1980s albums Discipline, Beat, and Three of a Perfect Pair. Levin captured the excitement and magic of the tour from his lens.

“It’s been fun going through all my tour pics to find the best ones — to assemble a book that gives the feel of what the tour was really like, and to feature shots that include our wonderful audiences!” he said.
