La Bella Strings Introduces Gold Flats
La Bella Strings has added to their Deep Talkin’ Bass series with the Gold Flats. Available in four, five, and six-string sets, the flat wound strings use a golden alloy ribbon wire for the exterior wrap that the company says adds a unique tonal mid-range.
The Gold Flats also have more attack with a softer feel than their traditional stainless steel flat wounds. “Keeping with tradition of hand-made strings, the artisans at La Bella use a special grinding process as a first stage to achieve a smooth string surface,” the company writes. “Then to realize the proper buffed exterior, a meticulous method of hand polishing is applied to each string surface ensuring a smooth feel for easy playability.”
La Bella’s Gold Flats are available now with prices ranging from $41.95 to $64.95 per set.
