Pigtronix Introduces Trio of Micro Pedals

Pigtronix has expanded their micro pedal lineup with three new pedals: the Gatekeeper Micro noise gate, Class A Boost Micro clean boost, and all-new Octava Micro octave up/drive/fuzz. Each of the units features true bypass switching and a housing with dimensions of 3.75 inches by 1.5 inches by 1.75 inches.
The Class A Boost Micro utilizes discreet J-FET transistors in a single-ended Class A configuration, which the company says “achieves the warmest possible tone.” It offers up to 20dB of clean boost.
The Gatekeeper Micro also utilizes J-FET circuitry to eliminate non-musical sounds from your signal path. “The wide-range threshold control combines with superior headroom to deliver smooth transient response and warp-speed time constants previously available only in rackmount, studio-oriented noise gates. These extreme performance characteristics allow for musical gating even under the most punishing demands of high-speed metal,” Pigtronix writes.
Finally, the Octava Micro is described as an expanded version of the octave up found in Pigtronix’s Disnortion pedal. In addition to the original’s two-knob design, the Micro has Blend and Fuzz controls. Other features include a variable low pass filter, a variable front-end drive, and a switchable high-gain fuzz.
The Pigtronix Class A Boost Micro, Gatekeeper Micro, and Octava Micro are available now with prices of $89.99, $99.99, and $119.99, respectively.
