Fodera Unveils Masterbuilt Prairie Bass
Fodera has unveiled the latest in their Masterbuilt series with the Prairie, a one-of-a-kind bass that draws its design features from the late 19th- and early 20th-century architectural style known as “Prairie School.”
“Noted for its horizontal lines, symmetry, and use of color to compliment the surrounding landscape, the “Prairie School” style and design was most identified in the homes and stained glass work of the famed architect, Frank Lloyd Wright,” the company explains. “These designs were thought to evoke and relate to the wide, flat, treeless expanses of America’s native prairie landscape. To achieve this look a combination of wood and stone was crafted into a solid, laminated block and then book-matched to create the symmetrical top which features a combination of Holly, Flame Maple, Yellowheart, Purpleheart, Ebony, and Blue Lapis stone.”
The Prairie utilizes Fodera’s Monarch body shape and is built with an ash body, a flame maple tone block, and a nine-piece maple neck with purpleheart and ebony stringers. Other features include a birdseye maple fingerboard, a Fodera custom preamp, and Fodera/Duncan dual coil pickups.
