Gear Watch: Godin to debut new basses at NAMM

Godin Guitars, based out of Montreal, has announced that they will be showing their new bass models, the A4 and A5 SA, at the 2010 winter NAMM show. The models are available as fretted or fretless and in 4- and 5-string versions, but most interesting is the “synth access.”
Each bass comes equipped with individual saddle transducers at the bridge, and includes a 13-pin output jack in addition to the standard 1/4 inch jack. The 13-pin output can connect to a multitude of devices and computer and communicate using MIDI. The bass also boasts a two chambered body design that resists feedback and other negative effects that happen with loud stage levels.
The bass will be available for an MSRP of $1,346.00.
