Wilkins Guitars Introduces 32-inch Scale Marlin Bass

Wilkins Custom Guitars & Finishes Marlin Bass

Wilkins Custom Guitars & Finishes unveiled their new “Marlin” bass model at the 2019 Winter NAMM Show. Available in four and five-string versions, the Marlin is a medium 32-inch scale bass in their RoadTested series.

“The Marlin basses are built here in California, USA with the same high-quality parts I use on all my basses along with the same attention to detail that we’ve been known for all these years,” said company founder, Pat Wilkins. “All the options that I offer on my standard scale basses will be available on these new models.”

The Marlin 4 features a classic body shape that is built with either alder or ash with a maple fingerboard. It has options for either a rosewood or maple fingerboard as well as Vintage 1.5” or Modern 1.665” C-shape neck. The five-string Marlin 5 has a 1.75″ modern C-shape neck.

Both versions of the Marlin are fitted with Howard Ulyate pickups, Hipshot bridges, and Hipshot Ultralite tuners. They debuted at the NAMM Show with a TBA price point.
