Jackson Introduces New JS Series Spectra Bass Models

Jackson has expanded its JS Series basses with two new models: the JS Series Spectra Bass JS3Q and JS Series Spectra Bass JS3QV. The basses are four- and five-strings, respectively, and feature a quilted maple top and a new body shape.
“The brand-new offset body style was designed with the artist in mind,” the company writes. “The poplar body with quilt maple top features a large upper horn that evenly distributes weight throughout the instrument, providing perfect balance by reducing neck dive for hours of comfortable playing. A graphite-reinforced bolt-on maple neck with scarf joint design generates formidable sustain, while the speed neck contour and 12″-16″ compound radius laurel fingerboard with 24 frets make for lightning-fast playability.”
Both models are fitted with a pair of Jackson’s medium-output humbuckers with coil-splitting toggles as well as a bypass-able three-band EQ. Finally, each bass has a Hi-Mass bridge and sealed die-cast tuners. The four-string comes in an Amber Blue Burst while the five-string has an Alien Burst Green finish.
