George Porter, Jr. Announces New Runnin’ Pardners Album, Releases Single
2021 is already looking up! Bass icon George Porter, Jr. has announced a new album with his band Runnin’ Pardners will be dropping in two months.
Crying For Hope is the group’s first studio recording since 2015’s It’s Time To Funk EP. Ahead of its release, Porter has dropped the title track as a single. The mid-tempo number features a stone cold groove and thick texture. Unison instrumental lines punctuate the song’s verses for a very Meters-esque feel.
The full album will be available in February, but the single “Crying For Change” is available now on iTunes, Amazon MP3, and streaming platforms.
