Hartke Unveils Lightweight HyDrive HL Bass Cabinets
Hartke has expanded their Hydrive bass cabinet lineup with the new lightweight HL series. The series includes four models – the HL112, HL210, HL115, and HL410 – which are all loaded with the company’s HyDrive speaker with neodymium magnets. Each is remarkably light, with the largest of the series being the 4×10, which offers 1000 watts of power in a 47.6-pound package.
“HL Series combines high-performance speakers with rugged construction using lightweight 16mm kiln-dried plywood which dramatically reduces the overall weight of the cabinets,” Hartke explains. “A black textured paint finish, powder-coated steel grille, and chrome-plated corners round out the robust build.”
The HyDrive speakers have Kevlar-loaded paper cones that the company says deliver “smooth, even response with a deep tone. The inner straight, anodized aluminum cone produces highly accurate, distortion-free output.” Each of the models is also fitted with a 1-inch horn-loaded tweeter complete with a three-position level switch that adds high frequencies.
The Hartke lightweight HL Series bass cabinets will be available in the second quarter of 2021. Price points range from $599.99 for the HL112 to $999.99 for the HL410.
