Jackson Introduces X-Series CBXNT DX V Bass

Jackson CBXNT DX V Bass Black

One of the most talked-about basses from NAMM 2021 was the Jackson CBXNT DX IV, which seemingly draws on several vintage basses with Jackson’s own spin. For NAMM 2022, they rolled out the five-string version of it, dubbed the CBXNT DX V.

“Upgraded electronics, classic fast, brutal style, and efficient playability make this entry into the lineup a fundamental force to be reckoned with,” the company writes. “Perfect for rock or metal—or other styles that demand low, punchy bass—this instrument is an unbelievable value.”

The CBXNT DX V sports an extended 35-inch scale with a poplar body, graphite-reinforced maple neck, and 12?-16? compound radius bound laurel fingerboard. It has a full two-octave range with 24 frets.

For electronics, Jackson fit it with a P/J pickup set and a 3-band EQ. Finally, a Jackson Bass Bacher V hardtail bridge and sealed die-cast tuners round out the hardware.

The Jackson CBXNT DX V comes in Gloss Black, Fireburst, and Snow White finishes. It is available now for $799.99.
