Keep It Groovy: Using Open Strings: How To Play A Slow Blues In C
Today’s lesson is all about versatility, understanding the fretboard, and integrating open strings. We’ll piggyback off of a previous lesson where we played a slow blues in the key of C, but this time, we’ll find the bass part in a different position.
Rather than settling around the 8th fret, begin on the 3rd fret and take advantage of open strings. Moving the pattern through the 12-bar blues form, you’ll adapt the groove to the F and G chords as well.
