Very smooth and very well done…

  2. Joakim Lier

How do you get a tone like that? My fretless kind of sounds like my fretted… i dont get that characteristic fretless sound on it unless i pluck the strings at the 12th fret with my right hand, but thats out of the question

  3. Benjamin Armstrong

did anyone else hear the opening riff to “come on, come over” after the video ended?

  7. well done Edmond. very nice. that’s a lot of work to get that right.

  8. nothing new, but very well done ! Jaco recorded it first take … something to think about …

  9. Nicely done and he gets his props for it. This tune requires a lot of work and practice and he nailed it. @ Abdullah, Donna Lee was written by Miles but often credited to Charlie Parker. It is based on chord changes from the song (back home again in) Indiana. The point is Jaco didn’t create it either. He did however bring it into the concioucness of every contemporary Bassist after hearing Jaco kill this on his debut solo album.
