Snoop Dogg, Featuring Bubby Lewis: Get The Funk Out Of My Face
Here’s a cool clip of Robert “Bubby” Lewis getting down with Snoop Dogg on The Late Show with David Letterman.
The band performs Snoop’s take on the classic Brothers Johnson tune “Get the Funk Out of My Face” while Lewis lays down a solid low end with some really tasteful runs. The tune of course was co-written by Quincy Jones, who was also on set and clearly digging this version.
In his time with No Treble, Kevin has met hundreds of amazing bassists and interviewed icons like Jack Casady, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, and more. He's a gigging bassist performing jazz in Northern Virginia and bluegrass with The Plate Scrapers up and down the East Coast. Kevin appreciates all genres of music, from R&B to metal and everything in between. Connect with Kevin on Facebook and check his performance schedule on his website.
