Booker T & the MG’s with Donald “Duck” Dunn: Green Onions, Live (1967)

Since the news of Donald “Duck” Dunn’s passing this morning, I’ve been watching a lot of videos featuring the bass legend.

It was hard to pick one to share on this day… so much great music.

Here’s Dunn with Booker T & the MG’s performing “Green Onions” live in 1967, during the Stax/Volt Revue Live In Norway show. This concert also featured Otis Redding, Sam & Dave and others.

  1. All us “hot-shots” jamming these days can be reminded of the real value of dynamics, listening TO and playing WITH and FOR each other. Thanks Thomas G Tsuneta Thanks Duck – RIP.

  2. Duck Dunn was, and remains, a major influence and constant source of inspiration. Rest In Peace, Duck. We have much to be thankful for as we lived in your time.
