Fuzzrocious Pedals Introduces Heliotropic Stompbox

Fuzzrocious Pedals’ Heliotropic stompboxFuzzrocious has just introduced the Heliotropic, a new pedal that combines a modified big muff circuit and preamp. The new stompbox was inspired by a song of the same name by the band Failure.

“Failure coaxed some amazing and unique sounds out of their instruments,” Fuzzrocious builder Ryan Ratajski stated. “I have been chasing those tones ever since I started playing bass and after years of digging around, nerding out with fellow gear nerds, and talking to people in or close to Failure, we have found the key: HELIOTROPIC.”

The Heliotropic’s controls from left to right are Pregain, Sustain, Overall Volume, and Tone. Other features include “Boss”-style power, true bypass, and a bare aluminum 1590BB enclosure with a handpainted design. Even though it can replicate Failure’s heavy, rumbling sound, Ratajski says the pedal offers much more.

“This pedal is not a one trick pony… it can do more than one sound,” he explained. “Within the pedal, one can also create lower gain drive, balls-out fuzz, nail scraping clank, and dubby doom tones.”

The Fuzzrocious Heliotropic is handmade in the U.S. and is available direct for $250. For more info, check out the Fuzzrocious website.
