Porcupine Tree Releases “Octane Twisted”

Porcupine Tree: Octane TwistedProgressive rock outfit Porcupine Tree has released Octane Twisted, a new live release taken from performances during their world tour for The Incident in 2010. The double disc set is anchored by bassist Colin Edwin, who’s jazz sensibilities come out in his playing.

“Most of the tracks were recorded live at the Riviera in Chicago on April 30th 2010,” he explained on his blog, “but there’s also a few which came from the last show of the Incident Tour, at London’s Royal Albert Hall, including some rarer gems that we don’t play very often, like ‘Dislocated Day,’ and the full length version of ‘Even Less.’”

The release is also available from Burning Shed as a deluxe edition including a bonus DVD. Here’s a clip of the band playing “I Drive The Hearse,” with Edwin providing some nice fretless action.

is out now on CD and in digital formats (iTunes and Amazon MP3).
