Aubrey Harris (aka BassGirl): “Crossroads”, with Keith Urban at ACA

Since we first featured bassist Aubrey Harris just about two years ago, we’ve known here simply as “BassGirl”. And for two years, she’s been impressing No Treble readers – including us.

It has been great to watch Aubrey grow as a bassist and musician, and to see how she’s harnessed the power of the web to get her music and skills out there.

Back in December, Aubrey hit the big stage at the American Country Awards, as part of the GRAMMY Foundation’s GRAMMY Camp program. Backing Keith Urban, she’s laying down an terrific bass line and having fun – which is another of her trademarks.

Congratulations Aubrey. This has been a remarkable ride and so fun to watch.

  1. I don’t like the way we are told to play bass guitar.I will play bass with a pick, fingers , or thumb. It all depends how I feel. Its not a corperate decision.

  2. Great rendition of an ol’ time song Cross Road Blues by Robert Johnson. Hard to beat the Cream’s cover though.

  3. My first thought: Tosin Abasi doing backing vocals! XP
