Source Audio Introduces the Soundblox 2 Manta Bass Filter

Source Audio Introduces Manta Bass FilterSource Audio debuted the latest in their line of bass envelop filters at the NAMM show this year with the announcement of the Soundblox 2 Manta Bass Filter. The Manta is the next generation, following the company’s Soundblox Pro Bass Envelope Filter.

The Manta offers 12 filter effects, plus a new edition for the Soundblox line: distortion. In fact, there are eight variations of distortion in the pedal, designed to work with all of the Manta’s filter effects.

Filter controls are managed by the Manta’s two envelope followers (sine, square, and saw tooth LFO). The signal path splits the instrument’s dry and distorted signals. The dry signal controls the envelope to increase the response from the filter.

The 12 filter effects include 2- and 4-pole Low-Pass, Single-Peak, Multi-Peak and Phasers. The Distortion Types include Hard and Soft clip, Octave distortion, Fold-back, Quantized, and synth-like Gated Fuzz. Each distortion type features independent gain levels which are adjusted by the Drive control.

The Manta is compatible with Source Audio’s Dual Expression Pedal, like all of the Soundblox 2 pedals, as well as the Hot Hand 3 Wireless Effects Controller and MIDI control signals via Source Audio’s Soundblox HUB.

  1. My Casio 1980 keyboard does the same thing. Does the Spartacus bracelet add to the fart sounds.

  2. Some people will always hate. That was a creative, multidimensional live performance.

Seriously hate away indeed you can make sounds anywhere from classic piano tie synth all the way through to high tech fart noises and everything in between, or just ads some creative and refreshing tones and effects to your sound on a subtle yet groundbreaking level. The technology in their multi wave effects is space age and the biggest thing since the original f*#king wah wah and distortion and by far the biggest innovation since I’m both cases
