La Bella Strings Introduces Low Tension Flexible Flats

La Bella Low Tension Flexible Flats Bass StringsLa Bella Strings is introducing a new take on their flatwound strings with the Low Tension Flexible Flats series. Made with the same techniques as their Deep Talkin’ Bass sets, the new strings have a slightly adjusted construction for a lighter and more flexible feel to their heavier counterparts.

The company says that the Low Tension Flexible Flats offer the same classic sound of flatwounds without the floppier feel associated with other low tension flat wounds strings. The hand-wound, hand-polished strings feature round cores with narrower ribbon wire for a smoother feel.

La Bella’s Low Tension Flexible Flats are available now in 4-string and 5-string sets with street prices of $49.95 and $59.95, respectively.

  1. I want’emI want’emI want’em

  2. It sounds like they’re trying to cut into Tomastik Infeld’s market to me…

  3. I use chrome flat wounds I forget whether ernie ball or elixer. The stainless steel? I thought they were brighter. Sure steels are usually round but isn’t the metal harder then chrome?

  4. Try the La Bella 760N tape wound. Great feel and tone, especially on a fretless.
