Hal Leonard Publishes “Music Marketing for the DIY Musician”

Music Marketing for the DIY Musician: Creating and Executing a Plan of Attack on a Low BudgetThe author of Billboard Books’ best-selling The Musician’s Handbook has some more advice to offer.

This time, Bobby Borg, who has a long career as a musician, educator and author, is turning his eye and pen to going DIY with Music Marketing for the DIY Musician: Creating and Executing a Plan of Attack on a Low Budget.

Published as part of Hal Leonard Corp.’s Music Pro Series of guides and CDs, the book shares how innovative top companies market work and how musicians can use those same business practices to get their music in the hands of people while still maintaining artistic integrity.

The book is also the result of not only Borg’s years of experience, but also more than a decade of practical and academic research. And Borg has loads of personal experience in both marketing and music. He’s also vice-president of special events for the American Marketing Association and founder of Bobby Borg Consulting, where he assists musicians.

The 368-page paperback is out now.
