Karl Clews: “Solsbury Hill” Solo Bass Cover
Karl Clews is back with another catchy solo bass pop tune cover. This time he’s given the treatment to Peter Gabriel’s “Solsbury Hill,” covering the bass line, melody and harmony all at once.
Clews utilizes a variety of picking, slapping and strumming techniques to fill the song out and keep you wondering how he manages it all.
that was sweet. Tony Levin would be proud :D
Super cool. I like to see players who actually enjoy it instead of just showing off. Plus, that shirt and the Miles Davis poster.
Cool!
Great job on a great tune – cheers!
Repetitive and gay. Go back to the 80’s.
I don’t really think that enters into it, but you might want to cut that word out of your vocabulary before it earns you an ass-whoopin’ on the street someplace. Sorry, not every video can be Limp Korntones. Doubly sorry that you are so immature as to troll a site like this.
Repetition can be part of being a good bassist…
Sounded excellent , as to BJames rude remark, your initial’s are BJ, we all know what that means.
I bet you Karl could open up a can of whoop ass on you but has the consideration not to do so.
Great job, Karl, and with a tune that I absolutely love!
