Rage Against the Machine Announces 2020 Reunion Dates

Rage Against the Machine

Eight years since their L.A. Rising performance at the Los Angeles Coliseum, it appears Rage Against The Machine have announced a handful of reunion performances for 2020. The iconic rock band will be playing five shows that will culminate in a headlining slot at the Coachella Festival in Indio, California.

The news was cryptically dropped on an unverified Rage Against the Machine Instagram account with a photo taken from the Chilean protests. However, Forbes Magazine spoke with longtime band associate Wayne Kamemoto, who said: “The band’s social media is accurate.”

Rage Against The Machine recorded three studio albums before breaking up in 2000. Those albums were anchored by the mighty bass lines of Tim Commerford, whose aggressive grooves changed the way people approach rock bass. He’s currently been playing with fellow RATM members Brad Wilk and Tom Morello in Prophets of Rage, which is filled out by Public Enemy’s Chuck D. and Cypress Hill’s B-Real. Vocalist Zach De La Rocha has been thought to be the holdout on a reunion, though it’s not clear what changed his mind.
