I was excited to learn that Adam Ben Ezra has a new album coming. He’s just released the first video from “Hide and Seek,” featuring the tune “Downtown Blues.” As always, the one-man band creates such a rich musical tapestry.

The Bad Plus have released “Activate Infinity,” marking their second album since their new lineup with pianist Orrin Evans. The trio, rounded out by Dave King and Reid Anderson, still has the same boisterous energy as their previous work.

Flea’s long-awaited autobiography, “Acid for the Children,” is now available. The memoir has been several years in the making.

After teasing it for several days, Fender has unveiled the American Ultra Series, which they call their “most advanced” line of basses. The series is defined by new Ultra Noiseless Vintage pickups, newly-designed body contours, and faster playing necks.

Swedish hardcore-punk legends Refused have returned with their fifth album, entitled “War Music.” It’s the followup to 2015’s “Freedom,” which broke a 17-year break from new music from the band.

Kelley Looney has passed away. He was 61 years old. Most fans know him as bassist for Steve Earle and The Dukes. He also worked with Tom Kimmel, The Thieves, Deana Carter, and more.
