King Crimson and The Zappa Band Announce Summer Tour

King Crimson has announced a new North American tour for 2020 called “We Paint Electric Rhythm Colour.” The six-week outing will see the iconic prog band joined by the Zappa Band, which includes alumni from Frank Zappa’s various bands.
A finalized list of tour dates is yet to be announced, but two confirmed dates include June 30th at the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts in Vienna, Virginia and a performance at the Ottawa Blues Festival. Crimson’s website says it will run from June through July.
King Crimson will be anchored once again by the great Tony Levin. The Zappa Band will feature the bass work of Scott Thunes, who played with Zappa from 1981 to 1988. The rest of the group includes Ray White (lead vocals, guitar), Mike Keneally (guitar, keys, vocals), Robert Martin (keyboards, sax, vocals), Jamie Kime (guitar) and Joe Travers (drums, vocals).
We’ll keep you updated once more tour dates are announced.
