Genesis Announces “The Last Domino?” Reunion Tour
It’s official: Genesis will be reuniting in 2020 for a new tour called “The Last Domino?” The tour will feature the trio of Phil Collins, Tony Banks, and Mike Rutherford for what will be their first tour in 13 years.
So far the iconic prog-rock band will be taking their show on the road for a ten-date arena tour of the UK and Ireland scheduled between November 16th and December 11th. It’s not clear whether they will expand the outing to a global effort.
It appears founding member Peter Gabriel will not be part of the fold. Also, as Collins can’t perform on drums anymore he’s enlisted his 18-year old son Nicholas to hit the skins, while longtime touring member Daryl Stuermer will be sharing guitar and bass duties.
When asked about the timing of the tour, Rutherford told BBC Radio 2’s Zoe Ball that it came together organically. “I think it’s a natural moment. It’s happened very naturally,” he explained. “Phil’s been out on tour for the past two and a half years doing his stuff. His son Nic has been drumming and it seemed to be the natural moment to have a conversation about it. You know, we’re all still good friends. We’re all above grass. And here we are.”
Genesis was founded in Surrey, England in 1967 and is best known for their hits “I Can’t Dance,” “Invisible Touch,” and “Throwing It All Away.” Their last tour was in 2007 to mark the 40th anniversary of the “Turn It On Again” tour. They were also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.

I think Peter Gabriel should be part of the tour but who am I…nevertheless, I’m sure it will be a great concert.
I think it will be great…I have a question… is there a physical reason why Phil can’t perform on the drums? I have always thought he is a talent on drums! (Brand X)
Dont undetstand why Gabriel and Hackett wouldn’t want to be a part of this.
I know the show will be great either way.
Them being there would be the entire crew though.
There are 16 dates now.
