Charles Berthoud: The Biggest Ever Bass Collab

Following the success of his “Biggest EVER Quarantine Collab” video a few weeks ago, Charles Berthoud is back with another.

Charles posted this to his channel: “Just send me two clips in A minor at 124 bpm: one where you’re playing something impressive, one where you’re playing something that can accompany others. Any chord progression you want, any style, any instrument!”

He took the submissions and edited them together to create a song. He also put up a “really simple bass line and asked you to play it as part of the BASS ARMY.” This resulted in a segment Charles said is likely the largest collection of bassists to ever play at once.

The video features over 50 bassists, other musicians, and a dog!

That was an entire legion of Bassists and the collaboration and synchronization, was amazing to behold. My applause to all the Musicians, but why wasn’t I invited?!? ??
