The start of a new month means it’s time to take a look back in the form of celebrating the most popular new bass gear we covered in the last month. Here are your top 10 favorite bass gear stories for the month of October.

Eastwood Guitars has unveiled the mandolin-inspired MRG Studio Series, which includes the new MRG Bass. The four-string bass features a short 30.5-inch scale and a mandolin-shaped semi-hollow body.

Surf’s up! Brandi Disterheft has just released a new album called “Surfboard”, which marks her fifth as a leader. Songs on the album range from blues to pop to the Great Brazilian and American songbooks.

Music Nomad has expanded its line of utility kits with the 6-piece Precision Setup Gauge set. The kit is used to help set up a bass, electric, acoustic, and even classical guitar.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen a video by Zander Zon, but he’s back with a new and incredible bass arrangement. In this one, Zander takes on “He’s a Pirate” from the “Pirates of the Caribbean” soundtrack.
