Wayman Tisdale & 5th Quarter: 1992 Jazz Fest

Wayman Tisdale was definitely something special. He had a very unique style and tone. He is sorely missed. Wayman was one of the main reasons I picked up the bass. Does anyone remember Power Forward? That album changed my life.

In this clip, we catch Wayman with the 5th Quarter Band, featuring other top-notch players such as Tom Braxton on sax and Bernard Wright on keyboards.

I won’t give it all away, because I want everyone to catch this.

Rest In Peace, Wayman. We miss you. Your legacy lives on.

Wayman was a natural. I think he was playing that long at this point. He probably would have expanded and did a lot more. RIP ???
